BIRTHDAYS AND VICTORIES ARE EXCELLENT!
Thanks to all of you who came out to our one-year anniversary show at Little Mountain or the Victory Square Block Party (we contributed the classic trio of comedy: babies, street gangs, and breasts). We had a whole lot of fun at both.
If you managed to forget your brain for a day and miss either show, a couple new videos surfaced from the birthday show, and a few photos were collected at Victory Square. Enjoy!

APRIL IS FOR FOOLS
With the financial crisis being what it is, bird flu still looming large in everyone's minds, and final exams coming up, we've decided to take the month of April off. Don't worry, we'll be back to the laugh factory in May and will have that many more dreams to tell you about then. See you May 22!
EMBER & WARREN JUMP ON THE TROLLEY
We are extremely excited to welcome two of the funniest people in the world to the collective. From the bare prairies, Warren Bates brings ten years of improv experience and a robust stand up resumé to the proverbial trolley table. Ember Konopaki has also hoarded years of improv experience, and joins us from the fine Rapid Fire Theatre in Edmonton.
THREE WEEKS IN A ROW DURING THE OLYMPICS
February 11th - WELCOME, INVADERS!
Three Rip Torn-calibre shows coming towards your mind-pipes over the 11th-25th. We open up with WELCOME, INVADERS! which will mark the arrival of our newest members, Ember Konopaki (Edmonton) and Warren Bates (Regina). Invasion jokes welcome. As if that weren't enough, there will be an actual magician in this show!
February 18th - SIT DOWN: A TRIBUTE TO STAND UP
Everyone in the group does three minutes on the mic and the audience picks who it sees in the second half. This is for pride, and prejudice.
February 25th - SECURITY (provisional theme)
At this point you will wish you'd never heard of invasive exploratory searches. We do another all-new show, we literally phuck the police.
GOOD-BYE FOR NOW, FRIENDS
Our prodigal sons, Nick Harvey-Cheetham and Alex Hudson, have left us for foreign lands for six-ish months each. They're not traveling together, though Nick did want to. They'll be back, and will be contributing from the road(s).
DECEMBER SET TO BE A MONTH OF SIGNIFICANT DATES
December is going to fucking blow minds. Not only are we doing our first ever best-of show this month, we have also invited a harem of our favourite comedians from across this country to share our stage. Oh, yeah, and Dave Morrisis showcasing our last show of December, the biblical show. Yep, good month.
December 3rd - GUESTS
Guest-a-thon: Rapid Fire Theatre, Stephanie Tolev, UBC improv...and some Pump Trolley Comedy too if there's time. GUEST is the guest theme of honour. (Following the show Hip.Bang! is performing in another show, the Ultimate Improv Championship at Vancouver Theatresports League, at 9:15--two shows for the price of two shows).
December 10th - BEST-OF
No comedy show has ever gone as long without doing at least one sketch twice in their own show, or at least that's what we're claiming. On December 10th we roll out the nostalgia and do a full best-of show, showcasing our favourites from our entire six month history of doing a full length show every Thursday night. Bet you fifty bucks you laugh during this show.
December 17th - BIBLICAL/DAVE MORRIS
No one would contest that Dave Morris is the perfect guest for this show, because of the powerful nature of Dave's hilarious work. We stretch our legs and dig into all things religion and holiday, and then all of us will sit and watch one man with curly dark hair improvise and teach us lessons for 25 minutes.
HIP.BANG! IN EDMONTONPump Trolley elbow-throbs Devin and Tom of Hip.Bang! will be performing at the Rapid Fire Theatre in Edmonton October 23rd and 24th at 11pm. Promise it will be memorable.DAD’S DAY SEPTEMBER 17th Father’s Day is not only a sham it’s NOT ENOUGH. For that reason Pump Trolley will be lowering the boom on the much-anticipated DAD’S DAY September 17th. The night will be filled with comedy inspired by, written by, or actually featuring onstage fathers of Pump Trolley members. The second-half showcase will be especially unmissable – dad’s telling true stories about their PT kids, and then those kids doing scenes inspired by those stories!P-TROLLEY ROLLS TO UBC! – NO SEPTEMBER 10 SHOW!Pump Trolley is very excited to be involved with UBC’s Firstweek mad-house first day. The crew will be throwing down sketch and maybe a couple either surprises on September 8th (first day of school – hormones!) at the Vanier Residence Ballroom. Bring your towel, it’s going to get sweaty in there. This show will be in place of Thursday the 10th, which is canceled because Cottage Bistro is having its annual Blues Festival.TIM CARLSON, HELLO!Not everyone can be as handsome as Tim Carlson, but Tim can. Pump Trolley is proud to be adding the comedy mix the genius of the original rapscallion, Tim Carlson, as of September 17th.
